Southern Counties Football Youth League - Corinthian Division
TAFC U18s Mid week Youth 1-1 Amersham Town

TAFC goals: Ollie Corcoran
With a Full squad of 16 available with all players fit and raring to go the Management were looking to use this game as a kick start for the season.

Amersham playing down the hill first half started brightly, with their quick left winger causing the Tring defence numerous problems.

Tring, as per all our other games were sloppy and lethargic in the opening 15 minutes.

The game settled down but Tring were just off the pace, being more reactive than proactive, not making enough problems for the Amersham back four.

Amersham were having the better of the half and from one of their attacks, on 30 minutes, the left winger was fouled just outside the box.

Tring conceded 3 goals from set pieces against Borehamwood and this seems to be our Achilles heel.

The free kick was floated to the far post where a completely unmarked player rose to head past a stranded Jake in goal.- 0-1 Amersham

HT 0-1

After a lack lustre first half 3 Substutes are brought on and just like the week before this seems to ignite the Tring boys.

Playing down the hill and in the favoured 4.3.3 formation, Tring start the half on the front foot and start to create chances.

Tring have lots of pace up front with Max,Jamie and Ollie. All 3 causing the away defenders lots of headaches. Max was roasting his right back and setting up numerous chances which Tring were just failing to take.

It was all one way traffic now and the inevitable goal came on 75 minutes. Good play down the right for George and Jamie, finished with the midfielders stting up Ollie who beat his man and fired into the bottom corner. 1-1

Tring pressed and fought for the winner but good goal-keeping and defending thwarted us.

Fulltime Tring 1. Amersham 1.
