Woking F C 1-1 TAFC Development team

TAFC goals: Ollie Ruttle
With a change of venue and a slightly earlier kick off time meant that most of the team were still arriving whilst our opponents were already warming up.

Maybe as a result we were totally dominated for the first 15 minutes and were grateful to custodian Mark Richardson for at least 4 tremendous saves. Then no sooner had we finally got our foot on the ball before Gareth Terblanche gave away his usual penalty which was duly converted, Score 1-0.

We then swapped to a back 4 and looked a lot stronger on and off the ball.

With our new found recent confidence we then started to work our way back into the game and played some lovely football and were rewarded when a cross field ball from the excellent Will Bisney was smashed in by Ollie Ruttle in the 16th minute.

With Max Hercules on day release from the First team we kept the ball well and worked hard to get in behind the ball when Woking had possession. Apart from the odd set piece Woking created relatively little and on at least a couple of occasions we were close to creating good opportunities and arrived at half time at 1-1.

The second period was generally even handed. In midfield Will Salmon and Teddie Paul defended the back 4 who in turn got stronger as the game went and apart from one long ball in the last minute and one more good save from our keeper there was little danger.

Tom Shaw and Will Bisney and then Frankie Hercules worked well going forward and doubled up to help their full backs. Joe Naylor and then Mesach Hendrickson occupied the Woking defence and Max Hercules matched Mark Richardson for the MOM.

The substitutes also played their part in a well deserved point.
